Why these eight, and what each one defends against

What it solves

On-chain transfers cannot be reversed, and the reasons they fail cluster into a short list. These eight compress that list into a sequence you can run in a minute — not by being more careful, but by having a fixed process.

What each one is for

One and two defend against the wrong chain. That is the hardest failure to undo, because several chains share an identical address format and the system validates only the format;
Three defends against clipboard substitution. Malware can produce a replacement with matching first and last characters, but not a matching middle;
Four defends against a missing memo, which leaves funds at the platform with no way to attribute them to you;
Five and six defend against thresholds: the fee comes out of the amount you typed, and after deduction you may fall under the receiving minimum;
Seven is the only one that catches everything above it;
Eight is the last free chance to fix a mistake, and the one that looks most like a formality.

How to work it

Tick from the top. The order carries meaning: without the first, the answers to the rest are unreliable. Once all eight are ticked the copy button activates and produces a summary with the checks and the date, which you can paste into your own transfer records.

Where the data comes from

There is none. This page makes no requests, validates no addresses, and does not know what you are sending. It is a checklist; the ticked state lives only in this page, disappears on refresh, and is never transmitted. The summary it generates contains no address, no amount and nothing about you, only which checks were made.

What it cannot replace

It cannot verify that the address you typed is correct; only you can do that. It cannot tell you which chain is cheapest either. This list covers whether you skipped a step, not whether each step was done right.

Who it is for

Anyone about to press withdraw, especially to an address they have not used before. For an address you have sent to many times most of it can be skipped — but the seventh item always applies to a new one.
